Location & Time of General Meetings

  • Public meetings are held to bring informative speakers on all aspects of growing roses and other gardening techniques, for sharing problems and successes as well as socializing with rosarians from the Huronia area

Open Meetings for 2020 Held on Tuesdays from 7 pm to 9 pm    Free admission and parking. Light refreshments.

“All the questions you were afraid to ask about rose growing”

Bring your questions verbally or in writing and a panel of rose growers will help you get off to a great start growing the Queen of Flowers.

The early years of our society will be celebrated in a slide presentation with commentary.

Information and photos of the roses for sale at the Barrie and Orillia Farmers’ markets in May will give you an opportunity to Preorder and Prepay for your favourite roses at $22 each. Miniflora roses will be available at the meeting for $10 each.

Photographic competition results will be displayed

Everyone welcome. Bring a friend and enjoy the company of fellow gardeners. Free admission. Lucky draws and light refreshments will round out the evening.

Programs for 2021— Our 40th Anniversary Programs have had to be cancelled because of the pandemic. We are hoping to hold them next year as we celebrate our “40 plus One” Anniversary.

We are always interested in what topics our members would like to have for our programs. Send your ideas to any Board Member or put your topics in the suggestion box at each meeting.
